Course Materials – All course materials, including downloadable resources, are conveniently hosted on the SAFe Community Platform for easy access and review. A comprehensive study guide outlines the RTE certification’s job role and offers exam-focused resources. Additionally, a practice test, mirroring the exam’s format, is available via the Learning Plan at no extra cost, although acing it doesn’t guarantee success on the certification exam.
This class is taught online using Zoom as our online meeting place where we will discuss, present and experiment with Agile . The Online course delivers the exact same content and at the end you receive the same certificate.
Working methods:
Multimedia presentations, group exercises and discussion, practical workshops, case study and online practice tests.
The course spans a total of 21 hours (3 sessions of 7 hours), during which participants gain access to invaluable resources on the SAFe Community Platform.
To ensure high quality training for our students, we decided to limit our online Coaching Fundamentals classes to only 15 participants per cohort.

Recommended prerequisites for the SAFe RTE course include:
- Cross-team communication skills

- A minimum of 3 months of hands-on experience as an RTE.
Full attendance on all course days is essential to qualify for the certification exam.
In order to follow this online course in good conditions, you must also :

Exam Details
- Exam name: SAFe® 6 Release Train Engineer Exam
- Exam format: Multiple choice, multiple response
- Exam delivery: Web-based (single-browser), closed book, no outside assistance, timed
- Exam access: Candidates can access the exam within the SAFe Community Platform upon completion of the SAFe Release Train Engineer course.
- Exam duration: Once the exam begins, candidates have 120 minutes (2 hours) to complete the exam.
- Number of questions: 60
- Passing score: 44 out of 60 (73%)
- Language: English
- Exam cost: First exam attempt is included as part of the course registration fee if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion. Each retake attempt costs $50.
- Retake policy: Second attempt on the exam (first retake) can be done immediately after the first attempt. The third attempt requires a 10-day wait, and the fourth attempt requires a 30-day wait.
