Learning Path
This course is structured around two main modules, supported by three asynchronous components. The first module focuses on building your coaching skills, where you’ll develop essential techniques like active listening, powerful questioning, and presence. The second module, Forward Focused Conversations, will deepen your ability to facilitate thought-provoking, growth-oriented coaching conversations.
These modules are accompanied and supported by three asynchronous activities: the Coaching Skills Builder, the Forward Focused Conversations component, and the ICF Exam Preparation Course. These asynchronous elements allow you to reinforce and apply what you learn at your own pace.
Throughout the course, you’ll engage in peer coaching and practice sessions, essential for meeting credentialing requirements. At the end of the program, you will receive a certificate that enables you to submit for your ICF exam. Additionally, the course includes individual mentor coaching, group mentoring, and evaluation of your coaching competence to ensure you’re fully prepared to move forward in your coaching journey.
In this introductory module, you will establish a solid foundation for coaching by learning key concepts and techniques essential to forward-focused coaching. The focus will be on developing skills that help create impactful, goal-oriented, and growth-driven conversations with your clients. The module is supported by an extensive self-study and practice program called “the Coaching Skills Builder”

This intense module focuses on mastering the core competencies for coaching as outlined by the ICF, all through the lens of Professional Coaching. You will explore what it truly means to demonstrate the ICF Certified Coach markers across all eight competencies and how they specifically apply to your work as an Agile Coach.
By the end of the module, you will be well-prepared to take the Certified Knowledgeable Agile Coach (CKA) exam, but more importantly, you will have sharpened your coaching skills, honed your ability to adapt various coaching modalities, and deepened your confidence as a professional Agile Coach.

The Forward Focused Conversations Framework was designed by Natascha Speets, PCC Certified, who came to the realization that most modern coaching styles and frameworks promote the same wish for their clients: Positive change, sustained learning, and deep awareness of self.
Natascha is a certified Solutions Focused practitioner, but also uses her knowledge of systemic coaching, the GROW model, non-violent communication, and appreciative inquiry when engaging with her clients in coaching conversations.

This class is taught online using Zoom as our online meeting place where we will discuss, present and practice coaching competencies.
We meet weekly online in a live conference call we work towards our goal which is accompanying you to becoming a professional coach and receiving the ICF ACC credential.
To ensure high quality training for our students, we decided to limit our online Coaching Fundamentals classes to only 15 participants per cohort.
This course is perfect for
Agile Coaches, of course, but this class is open to anyone who wishes to become a professional coach; Consultants, leaders, HR-professionals, Scrum masters, managers and people looking for a career change.
The Coaching Fundamentals with Forward Focus Conversations module will focus mostly on the Coaching stance. We are Agile Coaches, but most of all, we are professional coaches, and this class focuses on that aspect.
This course is open to anyone who wishes to become an ICF certified Professional Coach

A minimum of 100 hours (70 paid) of coaching experience with at least eight clients following the start of your coach-specific training. At least 25 of these hours must occur within the 24 months prior to submitting the application for the credential.
Performance evaluation (audio recording and written transcript of a coach session to be uploaded with your application).
Completion of the Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA) (Not included in the course fee)
The instructors of The Agile Company will help you in reaching your 100 hours and are always available for mentoring when needed. We also host regular mentoring sessions in which you can practice recording Coaching sessions for your evaluation.

You can join these session at any time during your training, and even after you have finished! You need to participate in at least 10 practice sessions in which you will be coached, are coaching (at least 5 observed sessions) or you can observe and give feedback. We will note your attendance internally.
